Beyond national, and European networks, Atlanpole is also involved on a larger scale within the global network of innovation ecosystems: IASP.
The IASP (“International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation”) brings together all global innovation ecosystems: science parks, innovation hubs, technology parks, clusters, incubators, etc.
With a network of over 350 members across 80 countries on 5 continents, IASP facilitates the connection of professionals in science, technology, and innovation parks.
Its aim is to enhance business competitiveness by contributing to the development of the global economy through innovation, entrepreneurship, and the transfer of knowledge and technology.
Each year, Atlanpole participates in the global conference organised by IASP. This event provides an opportunity to exchange best practices in innovation for businesses and to draw inspiration from the successes of other regions. From 2014 to 2016, Jean-François Balducchi, General Delegate of Atlanpole, served as the President of the association. This role allowed him to prominently represent Atlanpole on the global stage.
In 2019, IASP chose Nantes to host its global conference: : a recognition of the city’s thriving innovation ecosystem, while France’s appeal is undeniable thanks to its support mechanisms for entrepreneurship.
This recognition was followed by a significant award for the Métropole and the City of Nantes: “European Capital of Innovation 2019,” an accolade granted by the European Commission.
